Sue has been amazing asset for my Mom who is struggling with dementia.
With a personally designed program for her, Mom is more agile physically and has good balance. Because Sue has extensive experience with dementia and Alzheimer’s patients, she knows how to challenge her mentally as well as physically. Sessions with Sue have given Mom a “place to go” an “appointment” if you will, in her own home spending her time with her on FaceTime. It has allowed me to keep my mom active and safe in her own home during COVID. In addition to the obvious COVID issue, mom has not been able to drive safely due to her mental condition, so these sessions on FaceTime have become an important part of her day. Mom looks forward to seeing her! In addition to the loving care she shows mom, Sue has also kept me informed on how she is progressing not only with her physical program, but also how mom is mentally and emotionally through her very thoughtful observations.I am so grateful to Sue for all she continues to do for my mom and frankly for me as her primary caregiver.

Sue has been working with my dad for several months now. My dad has dementia & no longer walks without assistance.
The time that my dad spends with Sue is very special. She gets him to walk & he is vibrant & aware during the time together. I truly believe my dad looks forward to his time with her.
It also gives me peace of mind that someone spends time with him who truly cares about him.

My family is blessed to have the love, friendship, caring, creativity, and optimism of Sue Hyde.
We engaged Sue to work with my Mom who has moderate to advanced dementia and lives in an Assisted Living Community in Southport, CT. Fortunate is my Mom, Rosemarie, to have the grace and love in friendship with Sue.
Sue creatively discovered how to engage my Mom with all of her interests and to contribute to maintaining her wellness: mental health, physical health, cognitive health connection, identifying needs that to be addressed by the Community’s staff, pitching in to purchase items that Rosemarie might need. Sue listened carefully to the family to learn the history of Rosemarie’s life, family, musical loves, work, friends, travel experiences, political views.
In this fashion, Sue was quickly able to develop the much-needed rapport to be a true friend to my Mom. They work-out together, work on balance, dance and sing together to the oldies, converse, and transition to other activities(Sue comes equipped with a small sound system and playlists that speak to my Mom). Sue treats my Mom like family and it is clear that they have a special loving relationship.
We are fortunate that Sue visits and works with my Mom three times a week, providing the much-need continuity, recognition, and trust that a dementia patient requires. When our Mom fell and fractured her hip, Sue worked with the staff to manage her pain levels to an appropriate level so she could continue to have mobility through the 6-week bone mending. With Sue’s advocacy, and working with the family, Rosemarie regained the cognitive and physical declines so often coming along with a fall or any illness a dementia patient requires that rocks their world. With Sue standing at her side, my Mom was able to overcome her fear of falling again and accept the healing pain so that she could begin walking and exercising— her happy self returned.
I could write and write about Sue, but frankly, upon meeting her, or speaking with her by phone, you or your loved one will discover her enthusiasm, exuberance, love of her clients, professionalism, and compassion.Sue was born with an amazing gift. We are blessed.
